Arsenal to revive summer bid for PSG’s Christopher Nkunku
As per a report from Football.London, Arsenal are ready to reignite their pursuit of PSG starlet Christopher Nkunku in the summer.
PSG prodigy
Nkunku, 21, came up through the youth ranks of PSG, before breaking into the club’s first-team setup in 2015.
And the French U21-international has since gone on to rack up a none-too-shabby 53 Ligue 1 appearances, notching 8 goals in the process.
To this point in the current campaign, meanwhile, Nkunku has been handed 13 league starts by Thomas Tuchel.
However, despite being highly-regarded at the Parc des Princes, question marks have been raised regarding whether the youngster will eventually develop into the type of top-class midfielder that PSG require in their pursuit of European glory.
As such, with Nkunku already sitting behind the likes of Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler in the pecking order in Paris, and Leandro Paredes having joined the capital giants from Zenit St. Petersburg in January, Nkunku has been heavily-linked with a potential PSG departure of late.

Arsenal miss out
The winter transfer window saw Premier League giants Arsenal named as keen suitors of Nkunku.
In fact, the Gunners were said to have been close to agreeing a deadline-day loan deal to bring the Frenchman to North London.
In the end, though, negotiations fell through over the size of the buyout option in any potential agreement.
Gunners persist
As per the aforementioned report from Football.London this evening, though, on the back of claims in the French press that Arsenal have continued to keep a close eye on Nkunku’s progress over the second-half of the season, the capital outfit are ready to reignite their bid to coax the midfielder to England this summer.

Unai Emery’s priorities for the upcoming transfer window are to secure a new left-back, winger, and, crucially, a replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
And Nkunku is reportedly viewed as the ideal addition to fill the latter of these roles.
With the starlet’s PSG contract due to expire next summer, meanwhile, the Ligue 1 giants would likely accept a fee of around £17 million for Nkunku.
