Liverpool fans heap praise on Alexander-Arnold after Barcelona
Liverpool 4-Barcelona 0
Liverpool hosted Barcelona in their Champions League semi-final second-leg on Tuesday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side headed into the game with a huge mountain to climb.
The Reds lost the first leg 3-0 at the Nou Camp, meaning they had to score at least four goals on Tuesday.
Liverpool were also without both Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah for the tie.

Alexander-Arnold steals the show
Despite the huge task ahead of them, though, Liverpool started the game very brightly with Divock Origi opening the scoring in the 7th minute.

The first half would finish 1-0 to Liverpool thanks to a few good stops from Alisson.
It would largely be Luis Suarez who stole the headlines during the first 45 at Anfield though.
During his time at Liverpool, the Uruguayan wasn’t exactly the most sportsmanlike player.
Suarez would use some of that behaviour against Liverpool on Tuesday.
The forward would make the most of every tackle committed on him and was generally just a pain in Liverpool’s side.
The most notable incident in the first-half was when Suarez looked to kick out at Andy Robertson, who then went down injured.

Robertson got back to his feet eventually but was then taken off during the break.
Suarez no doubt regrets injuring Robertson, however, as, incredibly, his replacement, Georginio Wijnaldum, went on to score twice within 11 minutes of coming on.

Trent Alexander-Arnold then played a quick corner to Origi who netted his second to make it 4-0.

TAA also got the assist for Liverpool’s second of the game.
As a result, Liverpool fans have been heaping praise on the youngster.

Just when you think Trent Alexander-Arnold’s season couldn’t get any better.
He does that in the semi-final of a Champions League at Anfield.
