Ronaldo Praises Messi spoke highly of FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi in a recent interview.

The Portugal captain launched his film, Ronaldo, on Monday, which provides some insight into the life of the Los Blancos forward.

Talking about the movie in an interview, Ronaldo was asked whether Messi’s brilliance inspires him to work even harder, and the player admitted that the Argentine does push him to perform.

“I’m always motivated. I don’t need other players to motivate me,” .

“But, of course, Messi is an unbelievable player, and maybe he does push me harder to become better and better. So probably, yes.”

Though the pair don’t speak of each other often, both Messi and Ronaldo have claimed their rivalry has been manufactured up by the press.

Despite that, with the Barcelona maestro and Real talisman being considered the greatest players of their generation, fans and critics constantly compare them to each other.

As far as individual awards are concerned, Messi has lifted the prestigious FIFA Ballon d’Or four times in his career, while Ronaldo has won it on three occasions.
